Located south of picturesque Boulder on this beautifully (and thankfully) well-preserved open space area, you can sum up this network of trails against the backdrop of the majestic Eldorado Springs Canyon in one word: Spectacular!  This loop, which recently added even more miles of great single and double-track, is challenging in parts without being too restrictive to the beginner to advanced-beginner trail rider.

This area was home to some of the first miners in the region in the quaint town of Marshall, has an amazing geological history, and the beauty of its surrounding creeks, hills, and valleys will stun you.

We offer two ride options: A shorter loop for the leery, beginner rider, and a wider, longer, hillier loop for those who love to spend lots of time outside on the trails, to take in enough to satisfy their need for speed, variety, climbing/descending, and encounters with diverse wildlife (not all of which are mammals!)

Shorter Route Option

LENGTH:    2 to 2 ½ hours

LEVEL: Easy to moderate difficulty in spots

Longer Route Option

LENGTH:  3 to 3 1/2 hours

LEVEL: Easy to difficult in spots

(NOTE: It is recommended to use a mountain bike with front suspension, or better yet, a full-suspension bike is certainly much “kinder” on the body).

OFF-ROAD LESSON AND RIDE PACKAGE OPTION

Take advantage of a trained bicycle coach to provide you with 1-hour of instruction on the fundamentals of off-road riding including: braking & shifting, bike handling/position, balancing, cornering, and climbing/descending techniques. This will be immediately followed by a 2-hour ride using those newly acquired skills.  This option is recommended to the beginner mountain biker who really wants to improve their skills, become a safe and confident rider, and take their skills to the next level.  (See www.womenonbikes.com for more information on bike skills lessons).  NOTE: This is NOT just for Women!  The whole family can benefit from the Lesson & Ride Combo Package.
