The B.A.B.A. Saga

Boulder Area Bicycle Adventures was conceived in 2004 and is the brainchild of Boulder resident Andrea Tollefsrud.  Andrea has been riding bikes avidly since she was a very tiny person.  She got her first blue “banana-seat” bike at age 5 and rode it into the ground. Then, with her first 10-speed, she put more miles on the country roads of Illinois than most people’s cars back in those days.

Andrea came to Boulder over 20 years ago as an up-and-coming competitive road and mountain-bike cyclist.  She even ranked in the top 20 nationally in 1990.  After retiring from competitive racing, her passion for cycling continued and that led to the development of the Women on Mountain Bikes Program (W.O.M.B.) in 1997.  In addition to her cycling programs, Andrea is a well-established Personal Trainer, Bicycle Coach, and Certified Nutritionist.

BABA owner Andrea Tollefsrud lives cycling, loves the outdoors, and has a deep affection for Boulder.  Combine that level of passion with her vast knowledge of the Boulder area, and you’ve got the makings of a guide whose stories and anecdotes will hold your interest, and who will inspire you along your adventure to explore all of Boulder’s wonders.

BABA has chosen a small, but adequate staff of like-minded cycling enthusiasts whose high energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm for bicycling and the Boulder outdoors, is equally as infectious. And because our first concern is your utmost safety, our staff is also  CPR/AED and First Aid Certified.
